Visiting Patients

TMC consider friends and family as the influential part in our patient’s treatment and recovery. The visiting time to patient’s are time restricted to avoid the creation of troublesome by more visitors. Children can be restricted from visiting a patient in the same way that adults are. In some wards, you need to ask permission for children to visit you, and some wards insist that children under 12 are accompanied by an adult.

Be Hygeine

Always clean your hands using soap and water or medicated hand rubs when you visit someone at Medicity. Do this when you enter or leave a patient’s room or other areas of the hospital.

Illness

If you are sufferring from any of the infectious condition like cough, sneezing, or diarrhea, please contact the respective ward superintendent before entering to the ward. The pathogens can create infections to the patient’s in ward.

Gifts to the Patients

We encourage you visiting to the patients with gifts while in hospital such as fruit, sweets, books and magazines, which can console their minds. But it is important not to clutter the patient’s bed area. Check with the ward staff before bringing a gift of flowers, as it can effect the cleanliness in the ward/room.

Transport to Hospital

Even though we have a best parking space available for the visitor, We advise you to use public transport when visiting someone in hospital to lower the environment pollution.

 WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN VISITING SOMEONE IN HOSPITAL

  • Please don’t sit on patient’s bed, as the germs can be easily spread.
  • Avoid touching any medical instruments like oxygen masks or IV cannulas.
  • Avoid usage of the patient’s toilets. Ask the ward staff for the nearest public toilets.
  • Avoid sharing of property, such as toiletries, tissues or items of hospital equipment with the patients.
